God is on the move.
In the book, Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, written by CS Lewis, the four Pevensie children enter a strange and wonderful world where they meet a couple of talking beavers. The beavers say to them, “Aslan is on the move.” The children do not know who Aslan is, the significance of his re-appearance in the land of Narnia, and the signs of his appearance. While Mr. and Mrs. Beaver do not elaborate, they express great astonishment that the four children would not know this, and they tell them a bit of the prophecy concerning the time when Aslan will return to Narnia and set them all free from the power of the white witch. It was a point of wisdom for them to learn the signs, believe them, and act accordingly to help save Narnia and bring in the arrival of Aslan, the King.
We are living in a time when great changes will occur in a very short time in our world.
This should not drive us to fear, but to our knees to pray for Israel, to pray for our own nation, and to pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is done in heaven. We should know the signs, know what is going to happen, and act accordingly to bring about the arrival of the King of kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, to this earth.
One of the most outrageous and biblically inaccurate and totally bogus movies ever to be produced in my opinion is the recent movie, Noah. Someone said it was like going to see a movie on Winston Churchill and finding out it is about a feminist activist living in France who has Neo-Nazi leanings. Why Noah? What is it about Noah that Hollywood would produce such a movie?
I believe it is because we are in times that are very much like the times of Noah. The Bible says that Noah was a righteous man. In fact, he was the only man alive at that time who loved, feared and obeyed God. He preached to his generation for 100 years and was met with the same response we are seeing in our world today — apathy at the best and outright persecution at the worst. How did the people respond when he said, “The time is short! God is going to send a flood and everyone will die! You will lose your homes, your money, your lives! Get right with God now before it is too late!”
They jeered and rejected the message. Then the day came when it started to rain and the rest is history, as they say. That whole world, populated by perhaps several billion people, perished because they would not listen to the message of doom, of God’s judgment falling upon their world.I hope you are not one of those who jeer at those who warn of coming judgment against sin and sinful people!
Nothing happened at the first “blood moon”, despite warnings from John Hagee and echoed by many “watchers” of the world and prophecy from the Bible, including myself.
“Things are going to change,” we predicted with great certainty. But the blood moon came and went and nothing has happened. Or has it? The four blood moons have not all come. God is giving us time to repent and to come to Himself, using the heavenly bodies as signs of coming judgment on this earth for sin.
Why do so many Christians believe we are on the verge of the rapture, the Great Tribulation, and the Kingdom Age?
What are the signs we should be watching for? Are you alert, not only to hear the news, but to decipher false from true and to see the signs Jesus gave us coming to pass? Consider one such sign from the book of Ezekiel, chapter 38.
Several countries are mentioned in Ezekiel 38.
These countries, headed by a country called Magog, form an alliance that comes from the north to attack Israel. Magog forms an alliance with “Meshech, Tubal, Persia, Ethiopia, Put, Gomer, Beth-togarmah”, v. 1-6. These nations include Russia (Magog), the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, besides modern Iran, and the “remote parts” of the north with all its troops, many people. This group of nations will form an alliance with another group of nations, the Arab nations who live at the “center of the world”, v. 12, including Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages. These allies will include Persia (Iran), Ethiopia (northern Sudan), Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey and Ukraine.
Did you notice the reference to the Ukraine?
Look at the map. This ancient nation is located in a very strategic geographic location to connect Russia, Asia and the Near East (Israel). Why do the Russians want Ukraine? Oil pipelines go through the country. The acquisition of the Ukraine will give them added strength with free oil pipelines, and all the resources of the Ukraine. With this additional wealth, they will be in a position to form alliances with other countries. Is this happening? Yes.
In an article written on May 5, 2014 about the situation in the Ukraine and what might happen if Russia continues to invade that country, Seyed Hossein Mousavian, former Iranian Ambassador to Germany, believes that Russia is bent on an agenda of world domination. Crimea is a peninsula in Ukraine that has voted to succeed from Ukraine to join with Russia (March 16, 2014). If they are successful in this, the conflict America and Europe is having with Russia will probably escalate. Over time, the mounting pressure on Russia through sanctions may lead Putin to the decision that he should make an alliance with Iran and China.
“Therefore,” Mousavian concludes, “it is a safe assumption that if the Ukrainian crisis continues and Iran faces excessive demands and pressure from the West during the nuclear negotiations, Russia will move closer to Iran and the two states could form a power pole in the region. In addition, there is considerable interest in Beijing in strengthening security ties with Russia. This could be an encouraging moment for Moscow-Beijing and Tehran to think about broader cooperation in the region and Asia.”
Did you catch it that he mentioned China? That vast country to the east could easily send an army of 200 million soldiers that would amass on the Euphrates River and be ready to annihilate Israel at the command of the one world leader we call the Anti-Christ. (Rev.9:16) This is the last stage of the War of Armageddon during the last days of the Great Tribulation, Rev. 19:11-21.
Is China poised to align itself with Russia, or is Russia looking to the east to bolster its presence in the world?
Many observers of the political “game” that is being played by the major world nations, see that Russia may seek an alliance with Iran and with China to project their power and image as a world power. This coalition of nations will march south into the Near East, to Syria and to Israel, for the oil, produce, and other natural resources found in these countries, for world domination and because they are rebelling against God. This will end in what we know as the War of Armageddon at the end of the Great Tribulation.
When Elisha’s servant, Gehazi, lied and stole to gain a few bars of silver and gold and some beautiful garments to wear, Elisha met him at the door with these words, “Is it a time to receive money and to receive clothes and olive groves and vineyards and sheep and oxen and male and female servants? Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and to your descendants forever.” II Kings 5:26,27
Is this a time to spend our days on Facebook, on our ipads and smart phones, on our toys, playing as children with our gadgets to please ourselves?
Is this the time to tell the world that I made spaghetti for dinner? Is this how you want to spend your time? Is it a time to have two or three jobs so we can luxuriate in the finest pleasures the world has to offer? Is it a time to spend many hours and much money to cheer on our favorite football or basketball team while the people of this world are headed for hell?
There is nothing inherently wrong with Facebook, with your ipad and smart phone, or with your favorite football team. But the question I pose is this: how much time, energy and money do you spend on the things of this world when it is about to be destroyed in judgment from God? Are you so in love with the world and the things in it that you hate to leave it and to be with Christ? How much time do you spend praying for your neighbor or co-worker or friend who does not know Christ and is on the fast track for eternal judgment?
How can we prepared for the future if we believe that God is about to change the world?
Get SET.
Be sure your heart is right with God. Get rid of all that is sinful or unnecessary and get your focus on the Kingdom and what God is going to do in the near future.
Get READY.
Just like preparing for a long trip, we must make our choices and pack what we need for the trip. What do we need for heaven and for a future with Christ? First of all, we need the Bible, to know it and apply it to our lives. How well do you know your Bible? How much do you study it, memorize it, quote it, and use it daily? Bible knowledge and obedience should be the main objective we focus on for an eternity spent with Christ.
Secondly, we need to cut out the fluff and put all our things in a backpack. We’re not taking baggage that is “checked” and put in the luggage bin below the airplane. That means we need to simplify our lives, get rid of a lot of trash, and focus on serving Christ. If you had to leave your home forever and could only take a backpack, what would you put in it?
Thirdly, we need a set of priorities that will give us a good foundation when we stand before the Judge and He asks what we did with our lives. There are a lot of things we do that will burn up in the fire of judgment. Only what is done for Christ will last. (I Cor. 3:12-15) Make your daily decisions based on God’s will, not your own.
We need to watch, wait, and work, being faithful to warn those around us about the doom that is going to fall on the world.
People today have no fear of God. Perhaps you need to remind yourself, your children, your friends, neighbors and relatives that we need to FEAR GOD and get our lives right with Him!
GO! Are you ready for the trumpet call?
Are you anxious to meet Christ? Are you longing for a life lived with Him in eternity? Or are you like a friend of mine who said she did not want the rapture to occur quite yet because she wanted her children to have a “normal” life? What could be more normal and happy than spending it with Christ? Who would not want this for their children?
These are questions only you can answer. For myself, I am glad to say I am eagerly waiting for Christ to appear in the clouds and take me Home.
In a VERY SHORT TIME, we will leave this world and be with the Lord.
Hallelujah! “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” Rev. 22:20
God is on the move. Are you moving with Him?
